Enchanted Kingdom reveals its dark and bright sides
The bright side covers 3 theme zones of the park, such as Victoria Park, Boulderville, and Midway Boardwalk where kids can enjoy the following activities: Halloween Hunt, Trick or Treat, Little Zombie Zumba, Kids Halloween Party, and Visible Face Painting.
The remaining 4 theme zones of the park — namely, Portabello, Brooklyn Place, Jungle Outpost, and Spaceport make up the dark areas. Fortune Tellers, 7D Halloween Photowall, Zombie Zumba, Witch Purple Brew, Bloody Popcorn, EKscapade (treasure hunt), concert of Abra, Julie Ann San Jose plus other surprise guests, free outdoor movie screening of Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles, fireworks display, and the much-awaited launch of newest Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles haunted attraction featuring a meet and greet with the cast are just some of the activities that guests can look out for this Halloween weekend.
On the second day, EKscream! gets louder for thrill-seeking adults at the dark side with EK’s Halloween offerings such as Creepy Karaoke, Doble Kara, and the Luz Muertos Halloween party.
Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2 characters invade Enchanted Kingdom
The characters of Erik Matti’s upcoming film Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2 will be featured in the newest haunted attraction of Enchanted Kingdom (EK) starting this October 31, 2014.
The launching of the hair-raising haunted attraction walk-thru will be lead by movie stars, namely, Dingdong Dantes and Isabelle Daza together with, Ramon Bautista, Bogart the Explorer, Jun Sabayton and other cast. A Halloween concert will be staged by Abra and Julie Ann San Jose, who collaborated for the movie theme song, plus other surprise guests. The said attraction is expected to give Park guests another reason to scream their lungs out as the Aswangs will be brought to life.
Based on Philippine Mythology, the term Aswang refers to different kinds of monsters, one of which isthe horrific, man-eating creature called Tiktik with a taste for newborn children. Tiktik was featured in the first installment of The Aswang Chronicles movie shown in 2012. Another ghoul in the name ofKubot is introduced in the film’s second sequel, which is Erik Matti’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry this 2014. Kubot, a clan of long-haired female Aswang, morphs their hair into a tentacle-like mass, which they use to squeeze their victim’s innards out like toothpaste.
