Enchanted Kingdom’s Magical Charity Tour Kicks Off
Enchanted Kingdom (EK) launches “Eldar’s Magical Charity Tour”, its Corporate Social Responsibility project in celebration of it’s 20th anniversary. This program signals EK’s commitment to help improve the quality of life of select communities and society at large. This February, EK provides 20 charitable institutions a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience its magic right where they are.
With this charity tour, EK brings the magic of good cheer to abandoned and abused children, the neglected elderly, the disabled, and the terminally-ill. This CSR campaign kicked off last Feb. 3, 2016, with EK visiting five NGOs: Pag-asa Youth Rehabilitation Center, Hope Worldwide Philippines, Tahanan ni Maria, Bahay Pag-asa and Bahay Parola “Grace Home”.
Together with EK’s ambassador Eldar, the Wizard and Princess Victoria, volunteer Cast Members (or CMs, as EK employees are called) sought to bring love and cheer wherever they went, with special EK songs and dances. CMs from different sections of the park also shared gifts of personal donations and company contributions. Their best reward: always heartwarming responses…
“Thankful kami sa pagpunta ng Enchanted Kingdom dito. Natuwa talaga ang mga bata sa gift na binigay nyo.” – Ms. Myla Suriaga, Head Teacher from Hope Worldwide Philippines.
“Very enchanting! This is the first time that Enchanted Kingdom visits; of course we are very happy. The parents are not capable to send them with Enchanted Kingdom and so with us we have limited funds for food only.” – Ms. Virginia Peralta,Social Welfare Head of Pag-asa Youth Rehabilitation Center.
Ms. Luzviminda Mapa Batugal,Roving Social Worker from Bahay Parola remarked. “Napalaking saya ang binigay ng Enchanted Kingdom para sa mga bata. Thank you po, sana hindi po ito ang huli”.
EK’s visit to the elderly was no less magical – bringing hopeful smiles all around as some elders shared personal stories and others wowed everyone else with their special brand of dance moves, in step with EK’s energetic CMs.
“Ang tahanan ni Maria ay lubos na nagpapasalamat sa pagkakaroon po ninyo ng panahon na kami ay dalawin. Alam ko pong hindi ito ang umpisa, ito ang simula ng tuloy tuloy na pagtulong sa atin ng EK”, Ms. Dory Bantatua – Center Head of Tahanan ni Maria said.
Eldar’s Magical Charity Tour goes around town for four consecutive Wednesdays this month of February. EK also supports multiple outreach efforts year round, welcoming beneficiaries to the park with special programs for them to enjoy EK’s world class rides & attractions. Enchanted Kingdom is committed to bringing the magic of joy to every Filipino, regardless of where they are in society. After all, everyone deserves that bit of magic that comes from the joy of Love freely given!
